The camp site Sites et Paysages Moulin de Chaules, situated by a crystal clear brook, is part of a former water mill. There are 56 camping pitches, of different sizes.  Apart from the pitches situated by the border of the brook, there are also a range of terraces. These terraces are nicely private due to the wide green belts in between them.

The entire property, in harmony with the surroundings, was formerly part of the rural "Chaules" estate.  The ruins of the old castle, owned by our neighbours, rise high above the trees and can be visited (at your own risk since parts are a little unstable).

During the high-season (July / August) the camp site is very family oriented with a wide range of facilities for all ages.  Out of season, the camp site is very popular with people who prefer a quiet, spacious site with lots of opportunities for walking, excursions, etc.

All the pitches are grassed and situated on the sunny side of the hill, trees provide a variety of shade. The higher terraces give a great view over the surrounding countryside.

A new dedicated sanitary block ( for the upper 2 terraces is located on the 4th terrace.

Remember to bring your plug adaptor since the sockets are French! in 2020

Although the pitches are all grass, we recommend you use "nail" tent pegs, due to the rocky soil.

The sanitary blocks are clean well equipped situated in an attractive barn.  They are cleaned frequently and also checked several times a day. At your disposal are:

• Really warm showers, fed by separate water heaters for 24 hr. supply.
• A baby corner with dressing room and baby bath with hot and cold water.
• separate wash basins.
• A dish washing corner with hot and cold water.
• Children’s toilets, adult toilet cubicles and urinals.
• Washing machines, dryers, and a washing corner for your linen, together with full ironing facilities.
• Elsan disposal point for motorhomes.
•  Discreet night lighting all over the site.
• All facilities are free with the exception of washing machines and dryers.

In high season we operate a parking scheme on the other side of the river to safeguard the children’s play areas.

In the main building we have a cosy bar and a restaurant with a lovely outside terrace. In the restaurant we have a range of simple “à la carte menus”, snacks, or pizza. We also provide a full take away service with fries, roast chicken, snacks and pizzas.

When the evenings are a little chilly, you are always welcome to come and enjoy yourself in our sociable bar with a new snooker !

The bar also contains a computer corner, where, for a small fee, you can catch up with your emails, tell your  friends what a great time you are having or just surf the ‘net.

There is also a small shop for those “last minute” items with a full range of essentials, one freezer for your ice-packs and some locals products. The local bakery provides fresh baguettes and other bread.

Every morning, freshly baked croissants are available, straight from our ovens!

Children of all ages are catered for with our “games corner”, located in the Barn, as well and just before the bar you can see the new playground for your children.

Local shops (butchery, bakery, restaurant, tobacco, grocery store, press) and tennis court rental 2 km in Saint Constant or 5 km all other nearby shops as well as supermarkets.

In order for you to have a real and tasty holiday, we will take the time to listen to you, share and advise you to discover our little corner of paradise.
