The
camping site, situated at a crystal clear brook, is part of a former water mill. There are 55 camping places, of different size. Apart from the pitches situated downhill at the border of the brook, there are also 5 uphill terraces.
On these terraces you don’t have direct neighbours in front nor behind, as they have wide green belts in between.
The entire property, in harmony with the surroundings, was formerly part of the rural estate "Chaules".
The old castle ruin, property of our neighbours, is rising high above the trees and can be visited (at own risk).
During the high-season period (july / august) the camping is a typical small “family camping” (children up to 12 years).
In the off-season period, this area is very attractive for people who prefer a quiet, spacey camping with lots of opportunities for walking, trips, etc.
All camping places are covered with grass and situated at the sun side of the hill. Fruiters and other trees are taking care for sufficient shadow . You may understand that the upper terraces give you a fantastic wide view. Especially for the upper 2 terraces, a sanitary room is available at the 4th terrace. At the ground floor and the first 3 terraces, 4 Amp. electricity connections are available. On the 4th terrace only 2 Amp. is available. Please mind the “French” type of power plugs. There is no electricity available at the 5th terrace.
Although the availability of grass at the terraces, we recommend you the use of "nail" tent pegs, due to the rocky soil.
The sanitary is simple, but clean and efficiently equipped. It will be cleaned frequently and also checked several times a day.
At your disposal are:
- (really) warm showers, fed by separate geysers for 24 hrs. delivery;
- baby corner with dressing room and baby bath with hot and cold water;
- separated washing accommodation;
- dish washing corner with hot and cold water;
- children’s toilet, adults (sitting) toilets and urinals;
- washing machine, dryer, washing corner for your linen, including ironing facilities;
- shoot for Elsan lavatory;
- night lighting all over the site;
- with exception for washing machine and dryer, all facilities are free;
- central car parking in July and August will increase safe playing for your children at the camping.
In the main building you will find an attractive bar, restaurant and (outside) terrace. In the restaurant we like to serve you some simple “à
la carte menus”, snacks or pizza.
Apart from that you may take away fries, snacks and pizzas.
In the off-season, when the evenings are indicated as "healthy fresh", you're always welcome in our cosy bar.
In the bar you will also find a computer corner, where to watch or send your e-mails, to use the MSN or to consult the Internet (just for a small fee).
There is also a small shop for the “forgotten” shopping and your cooling elements. The local bakery will offer you fresh baguettes and other bread. Every morning we will bake the croissants ourselves on the camping.
In the "grange" you'll also find the youth corner, in addition to the outside playing ground.
